A leader tomorrow

Today's students are tomorrow's leaders. So there is a need to give them some training in leadership. There are a group of students having responsibilities in school, selected to maintain discipline. Leadership is one of the best traits that a student should possess.

What is leadership? It is the activity of influencing people or students to strive willingly for an objective. All the prefects of our school are assigned with responsibilities to make their team mates work with them. Leadership is the quality of accomplishing goals with and through students. The prefects work with the students of their own team and get things done from them.

There are 14 prefects in my school and I am one of them. We get plenty of opportunities to function effectively. We play an important role during some functions in the school. We are the volunteers. We do everything in a disciplined manner. School is a place where we are trained to become the leaders of tomorrow. At an young age we get an opportunity to shoulder responsibilities. In the future, if we get some post in our country's administration, we won't have any problem in serving our country because we are not new to it. We have had enough practice in our school as leaders.

Leaders are those who don't miss opportunities. In our school, not only the prefects but also the students get many responsibilities and opportunities to express their talents and abilities. All the school authorities should get a set of students from the secondary classes as prefects so that they may get some experience and practice in doing things in a disciplined and orderly manner.
