Carefree days

Childhood is the dawn of human life. The child is free from malice and hatred. It is said that a child comes from heaven, as she has all the heavenly qualities in her.

But today, childhood is not as pleasant as it was in the past. The children are subjected to tight schedule and they have to study according to a timetable. Vacation time is considered by children to be the best and greatest time of the year. But even during vacation, they are subjected to artificial happiness. Earlier, children had a lot of time to play with their friends, walk through the green paddy fields, follow a butterfly and experience the love and enjoy the perfect beauty of nature. Not anymore.

When the children of today reach the dusk of their lives they will not have happy memories of their childhood. Instead they will remember the dreadful figures of the elders who were responsible for their burdens and lost childhood. If childhood is the other name for heaven, let us make it one.
