Toys or tools?
Early in the morning, breathing the fragrance of the fresh air, we make our way to school, where we extend our knowledge to the secrets of the universe. In our enthusiasm and zest, we hardly see someone of our age undergoing an unfortunate existence.
Toys and books should be children's playmates, not tools. Really, child labour is not something children like or do willingly. They are forced to do it, either by their parents or by their helpless situation. Even though these children would like to study, they hardly get the chance. Their earning may be a relief to their families but nobody gives a thought to their wants and wishes.
Usually the jaws of greedy entrepreneurs crush the wishes of the child. They are forced to work long for low wages. They are tormented to a great extent. They are only taught about the value of money. They are made to believe that money is the essential factor and this belief changes their life.
Their ordeal continues even after childhood. Their experiences leaves a mark so strong that they turn against the laws of society. Their experiences transform them later on in life into beings without gentleness, kindness or virtue. Hence eradication of child labour is important for the well-being of society.
