Eternal memories

"Life is beautiful... School days are even more beautiful... they are the very life of life."

Now, when I have just finished my Std. XII exams, this is what I can say of my school days, though the joy and the sweet memories associated with it are far beyond my words of expression. Those wonderful days have faded away forever. But it is said that all good things come to an end. This is the reality and I am trying to accept it.

Looking back to the day when I first joined the school, all thrilled expecting a new life, to the day when I stepped out of my school carrying the sweet fragrance of the fallen blossoms of school days in my heart, I can recollect almost everything... Right from learning "Twinkle, Twinkle" rhymes to mathematics with its calculations, physics with its proportions and chemistry with its equations, life was filled with hopes, dreams, confusions, tensions, happiness and sadness, a beautiful world of the colours of success and failure. Altogether it was an eventful one. The loving and caring words of my teachers, their claps at my victory, smiles at my achievements, those special moments set aside to talk and listen, their encouragement till the end... those happy moments I will treasure in my heart till the last. All those still echo in my ears, their smiles like candles in the night...

My hopes and dreams were built up, the playground of my success and failures is my school, my second home. Life may be a struggle, like a landscape seen through the window of a passing train, many memories fade off. But the memories of school days are hung inside the walls of my heart in a golden frame and will remain as a treasure forever...
