K. Ananthan
In every individual's life, there is a time when you will have to attend an interview.
Some tips:
Dress smartly.
Plan so that you get to the interview on time.
Remember to carry all letters/documents that support your resume. Friends, supporters, family, police checks, councillor letters, statutory declarations(if necessary), medical certificates(depending on the job), past assignments, list of achieved awards/tokens of appreciation.
At the interview:
Make eye contact and greet all on the panel and also those attending a interview (in case of a group interview).
Talk to all members.
Talk as long as possible; speak in sentences.
Talk slowly.
Be polite and tolerate graciously interruptions, and start by saying "moving on" and go on with your point.
Be confident, and show interest and conviction.
Remember you've got a short time to present yourself and make your point, so don't beat around the bush.
After the interview:
Thank all on the panel.
Shake hands and add "Looking forward to your call".
Walk out confidently.
Give a courtesy call after 10 days (if you haven't heard from them),to check status of application.
