Jun. 5 The Army releases documents seized from three Pakistani soldiers in the Batalik sector to substantiate its claim that Pakistan regulars are involved in the Kargil conflict. India defers New Delhi visit of the Pakistan Foreign Minister. Jun. 6 The Congress(I) secures 21 seats in the 40-member Goa Assembly. Jun. 7 The Supreme Court through an interim order stays till July 19, 1999, the execution of four accused in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. Jun. 8 Mr. Jagmohan is shifted out of the Ministry of Communications to the Ministry of Urban Development so far headed by Mr. Ram Jethmalani who in turn is shifted to the Ministry of Law.
