Mr. Dhian Singh (103), freedom fighter dies at Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. He was a member of the Indian National Army and was jailed a number of times during the freedom movement.
Mr. P. Subramaniam Poti (75), former Chief Justice of Kerala and Gujarat High Court dies of a heart attack.
2nd Dec
Prof. S. Sampath (73), former Director of the IIT Chennai and Kanpur, dies. He was the Vice-Chancellor of Sri Sathya Sai Institute for Higher Learning, Prashanti Nilayam, during 1991-93. He was appointed member of the Union Public Service Commission in 1977.

Mr. Maganbhai Kasundra (50), Gujarat Minister, dies following a heart attack at his residence in Gandhinagar.
11th Dec
Mr. Trilot Singh (80), Marxist leader and former member of the Rajasthan Assembly, dies. He was a member of the State CPI (M) Secretariat.
Kavi Pradeep (84), poet who received this year's Dadasaheb Phalke award, dies in Mumbai. He was a patriotic song writer and wrote several immortal Hindi film songs.

Dr. B. V. Raman (86), a reputed astrologer, dies in Bangalore following a cardiac arrest. He was the Editor of The Astrological Magazine.
