Courses in rehabilitation

The course will be conducted at the Mobility India office, 1 and 1 ‘A' Cross, J.P. Nagar II Phase, Bangalore

Mobility India, an NGO providing rehabilitation services, training in rehabilitation therapy, prosthetics and orthotics and wheelchair services to people with disabilities, is offering certificate and diploma courses in Prosthetics and Orthotics and Rehabilitation Therapy.

The courses are being conducted since 2002, and the centre is the first in the country to receive accreditation from the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics. Mobility India also has affiliation from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, and recognition from the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) to conduct the Bachelor's programme in Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO).

There are a total of 10 seats for the bachelor's programme. On graduating, the candidates could be employed in healthcare centres such as hospitals and rehabilitation centres, multinational companies and NGOs. Students who have studied in the pure sciences discipline at the pre-university level are eligible. The course is not limited to people with disabilities.
