SSIM supports government school
‘Sanghibhav', a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the Siva Sivani Institute of Management (SSIM), is supporting a Government Primary School in Harijanawada whose students come from underprivileged families. Students and faculty of the management institute have undertaken several activities to help students of the Government Primary School. A twenty-year-old physically-handicapped teacher has been appointed in the school by the management institute. The salary of the teacher is being paid from voluntary contributions of the SSIM students. Besides providing recreational activity to the underprivileged children, members of ‘Sanghibhav' have also contributed to buy footwear at the school. “We believe that this model creates a win-win for corporate, educational institutions and the society at large. Our model of CSR can be adopted by other institutions,” said C. Sudhakar, Director-Placements, SSIM.
