Adventure: Avalanche

The hills are alive with the sound of music...

Last year I went for a camp held in Avalanche by the Scripture Union. It is a beautiful campsite located in Ooty.

We stayed in tents and had a cosy campfire. Abseiling was frightening as well as exciting. I came out with a few scratches, but I enjoyed it.

Gorge-walking, we walked upstream to find the source. We had to climb over rocks and got wet too.

We also went canoeing in the Avalanche lake. es. We also went on a night-walk. This was exciting as we saw some pug marks. When we returned to the campsite, we had steaming mugs of Milo around the campfire and shared ghost stories.

One team building activity was Corelle building (raft making). The two groups had to construct a raft each and we had to cross the lake using the raft. Our raft sailed well and we reached the other side safely. But while returning our raft capsized in the middle of the lake. Thankfully we were wearing lifejackets.
