Shortcut to hobbit land

A still from the movie "Lord of the Rings"

Being short has its advantages and how! An ad on the Internet wanted people standing 3.8 ft to 4.4ft feet high for a role in a documentary on hobbits — creatures that play a pivotal role in the Tolkein Trilogy.

A mine of information on the short, Sameer Bhardwaj says Nepal has the world's largest number of short people and no one grows over 120 centimetres (3.9 feet) in a village in Macedonia. The shooting is scheduled to begin in August and the actors will be paid $120 a week.
