Vagdevi Vilas School

Environment week was celebrated by Vagdevi Vilas School from June 6 to June 11.

Competitions like essay writing, painting, slogan writing, creative posters, poetry writing, quiz and debates were held. On June 11, the staff and the students of the school went on a rally to Marathahalli to create awareness about the need to protect our environment. Eye catching slogans and posters called for the need to conserve natural resources, prevent pollution and the need to plant trees.

The message "Avoid Plastics" was stressed and paper bags were distributed to local shops to encourage the use of eco-friendly material.

The rally was flagged off by S. Raghu, MLA, of the Shantinagar constituency.
