Vidya Vardhaka Sangha School, Rajajinagar
Vidya Vardhaka Sangha School, Rajajinagar, held its valedictory function for the outgoing students of Std. X recently. Farewell speeches were given by the outgoing students.
C.N. Manjunath, director, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, also a former student, was the chief guest, and he recalled his memories of the school. He said that it was a homecoming for him. India was making progress despite problems and that was because of its people who believe in moral and ethical values, Dr. Manjunath said. He told the students to specialise in a specific subject, as this is an era of "tubular vision".
"Children go to school with the sole purpose of gaining and soaking themselves in knowledge. As you move out to create an identity of your own, to carve a niche for yourselves in society, in this euphoric moment, remember the sacrifices made by your parents and teachers," Dr. Manjunath said.
Dwarakanath, joint secretary of the institution exhorted the students to achieve success through hard work and sincerity. Mithun Jyothi, Siddarth Koppal, Vivek and Preetam who had excelled in co-curricular activities were presented with mementoes.
