The snippets in the Newscan are always amazing and informative. Stamps depicting the ascent of Mount Everest and the launch of the Sputnik 2 satellite were good. The history behind the confusing manner of speech — spoonerism, was enlightening. Few examples quoted about William Archibad Spooner's spoonerism really made me laugh.

"Sowing seeds of inspiration" about Beej Bachao Andolan opened the door of information about naurangi — nine coloured rajma seed. In my school also we are always reminded to preserve our natural resources.

I also enjoyed reading the story about the troublesome monkeys.
