Beautiful Mamallapuram
The article on the historical significance of Mahabalipuram that appeared in Young World was interesting. My school had organised an educational tour to this popular world heritage site and the article was timely because I could read it before the tour. The brief history of the place with a vivid account of the monuments and structures made me more eager and keen to go on this trip. Such articles give us an idea of India's rich heritage.

Reading the article on Mamallapuram I came to know that it has been included in the UNESCOs world heritage sites. Such articles remind us how diverse Indian heritage is.

I enjoyed reading the article on Mahabalipuram, and the one on Egypt's obelisks. However, the article on dance and other traditional art forms that appeared in the Hyderabad edition of the YW seemed to exaggerate things a bit.
The organiser for September was very, very nice.
