Nonu's adventures are sure to enthral.

Moving from an old home to a new one far away may be exciting to some, but to others it could be a scary experience, as it would mean leaving familiar surroundings and friends. This is exactly how little Nonu the squirrel felt when his parents told him that they had to leave their large comfy tree. Nonu was falling sick very often due to the dust and pollution caused by the construction of a high rise nearby.
How Nonu is pacified with a surprise gift, makes a new friend, gets into trouble with Goonda cat and then has to say goodbye to his new friend make up the first few tales in Anita Nair's Adventures of Nonu the Skating Squirrel. Worse follows when Nonu nearly falls into bad company when he meets the mango gang, but he is saved in time. The narration helps the reader to visualise the tempting life amid the leaves, leaping from tree to tree and gorging on fruits and nuts. The black and white illustrations by Vinita Chand capture the little world of the squirrel, which finds that his world is beautiful after all.
