Besant English High School, Kodialbail

Besant English High School, Kodialbail organised an inter-school chess tournament 2006 for students of high schools in the city.

Derik Pinto, administrator, Derik Chess School (DCS) inaugurated the tournament. Prasanna, instructor at DCS called on the students to work tirelessly to achieve their goals in life. S.R. Kubera Shetty, president of PTA welcomed the gathering. A dozen high schools participated in the event.

The winners of the tournament are Sanjay J. Rao, Canara High School, Urwa, Mangalore (first), Manasa, Sri Ramakrishna High School, Mangalore (second) and Sumit, Canara High School Main, Mangalore (third).
