Education

The major difference between schools in India and Australia is in teaching. In India, most schools give importance to only academic work. If students score low marks, they are more often scolded. But in Australia low scorers are counselled to improve.

Apart from academic work, sports is encouraged in Australia. One example is the yearly event known as the "cross-country", where the whole school participates. Students can walk/jog/run around the oval. A participation award is given to every participant. Of course, the first to finish receives a medal. This encourages students to try hard. Such fun events in India, will encourage students to be fit and healthy
