Sunshine vitamin

NANCY JOHNSON

Vitamins are essential for the body. Vita means life. Vitamins are classified as A, B, C, D and so on. As still a few more classifications are necessary, numbers are added as in vitamin B1, B2 and son on. Almost all vitamins are found in foodstuff like cereals, fruits and vegetables and also meat and fish. But there is one vitamin, which is obtained from the sun. it is vitamin D or the sunshine vitamin. Though it can be bought commerically, the main source is sunshine. Vitamin D helps calcium and phosporous to build bones and teeth. It also helps in the growth and proper formation of bones of the face especially the jaw. However, too much of sunshine can cause sunburn but too little may leave you deficient of an essential vitamin
