IT'S SURE A TEAM: The students seemed to have learnt a lot in the process of producing their newsletter.

The glossy newsletter is packed with international stories, interesting trivia and colourful paintings. The editors, page designers and reporters, all from Stds. VI to IX of Brindavan School, proudly presented their work to the school staff. The newsletter, "Brindavan X-Press," has brought out the journalist in them, say the faculty.

The infotainment-packed annual journal features information that suits the interest of kids. Write-ups on cooking, arts, games, travel, history, crosswords, jokes and weather facts were artistically placed on the 10-page journal. The first issue, which came out in January, is professionally designed with an editorial column by Daniel Joseph, the editor of the maiden issue.

A gripping story on "why cheetah's cheeks are stained?" retold by Gowri Shankar found a place on the first page, while Dimpy Horne's recipe on the Thai cuisine, pineapple fried rice, followed next. Childs Clinton prepared a crossword about food items on page 4, filling the tiny square box space at the bottom with a cartoon.

The subsequent pages had a host of jokes and trivia on indoor games.

Daniel Joseph came up with a fascinating article on the Great Wall of China, Manoj Kumar and Ghokulraju pooled in information on U.S. chocolates.

They did it

The editorial and graphics team consists of G. Karthikeyan, Gowri Shankar, Dishan Fernando, Resanthan, Sankarlal, Manoj Kumar, Dimpy Honre, Karthk Raj, Childs Clinton, Gokul Raju and Vandana Patel. The secretary of the school, S. Sivagami, guided the students in editing and page-making.
