VSKD Matric H.S. School, Sivakasi
VSKD Matric H.S. School, Sivakasi, celebrated its 38th annual day and sports day in the school premises recently. Students participated in various sport events with much enthusiasm. Lucky corner and musical chair were conducted for parents. Tug-of-war was conducted between the staff and outgoing students. V. Vazhveemaraja, district sports officer, Virudhunagar, who was the chief guest, spoke and Udayakumari distributed prizes to winners.
Rathika Devi Kathiresan, chairman, municipal council, Sivakasi, who was the chief guest for the annual day celebrations, distributed silver medals to top scorers in last year's matriculation and higher secondary board examinations. The students presented cultural programmes.
The principal J. Sarada read out the annual report. The correspondent, D.A. Rajan, welcomed the gathering and the secretary, C. Sarada Devi, released the newsletter on the occasion.
