Absolutely wild

P. SOLOMON DHANARAJ

The Royal Mail (U.K.) issued a set of four stamps on January 16, 1980, to commemorate the centenary of `Wild Birds Protection Act'. The birds featured were a kingfisher, a dipper, a moorhen and a yellow wagtail.

On October 5, 1977, a set of five stamps featuring `British Wildlife' was issued: a brown hare, a hedgehog, a red squirrel, an otter and a badger.
