Adventure Water Sports Camp

Aqua parasailing, a thrilling adventure water sports event was the highlight of a week-long `Adventure Water Sports Camp' organised by the Adventure Cell of Southern Air Command at Kappil-Paravoor lake in the near Varkala last week. The sport, which has captured the hearts of young adventure aspirants across the world is presently conducted only by Goa Tourism on a regular basis. The backwaters of Kappil-Paravur were identified as a potential location for conducting aqua parasailing. It also included water skiing, kayaking, and canoeing. The camp was organised in association with the District Tourism Promotion Council.
