ONCE WORN: Under the hammer.

"Star Wars" fever ruled at a recent auction of cinema and TV outfits in London. A plain brown cloak worn by Alec Guiness (who played Obi-Wan Kenobi) went for £54,000. The cloak, earlier missing for about 30 years, has been seen in other films (the latest being "The Mummy" in 1999). Pre-auction estimated the cloak's value at around £40,000. The auction was the result of costume maker Angels clearing their warehouses to lower insurance costs. Other costumes that went under the hammer included Sean Connery's dinner jacket from "Thunderball" (£30,900), a William Wallace outfit from "Braveheart" (£23,300). Prospective buyers were allowed to try the costumes as auctioneers Bonham's salesroom became a dressing room.
