TRIBAL TAPS: The Ghondu dance

Sreenidhi International School celebrated their fourth annual day and the initiation of the school to a new location outside the hustle-bustle of the city. Dileep Padgaonkar, eminent journalist and Member of the Minority Commission was the Chief Guest.

The evening began with the pre-primary students doing a dance and a musical play on the debate between junk food and healthy food. The story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin was portrayed through a poem converted to an on- stage narration and action play in which Robert Browning's lines were sung in rap. Bharatnatayam, a social satire play in Telugu, a Ghondu tribal dance followed. Chunauti, a play in Hindi focused on the courage of a crippled boy. The entire Sreenidhi family came together to sing the final song Any Dream Will Do.

The Chairman, K.T Mahi, Sanjay Mohe, the architect of the project, Dr. M.V Prasad, the Consultant Director, addressed the gathering.
