What's the song for April, all ye exam weary souls? The city has a whole range of activities lined up for you. asap PRODUCTIONS, a Chennai based entertainment company, in association with Goodbooks Bookstore & Resource Centre, is organising "Camp Magic" a summer workshop for children between four and 15 years in theatre, music and dance. While the music workshop will be conducted by Krishna Iyer, the dance and theatre workshop will be handled by theatre actor/director Amit Singh at the Goodbooks Bookstore & Resource Centre, Annanagar east. Theatre buffs
The Bamboola camp called Blossoms 2007 commences on April 16 and runs till April 30. Another camp Sparkles 2007, conducted by Talent Development will commence on May 2 and goes on till May 31.

As part of the Camp YAKABOO, the Hippocampus summer workshop, Krishna Kumar of Masquerade and Deepan of Flash Dance Company will conduct theatre and dance workshops, respectively, from April 16 to May 4. The Landing Stage Youth Theatre Group, the youth wing of Masquerade, will begin its fifth annual summer theatre workshop, Pushing Boundaries, starting May 2.
It is a 15-day workshop for youth between 13 and 19 years.

Nature enthusiasts
Aavishkaar India is organising a series of jungle and nature camps for children above nine. From April 16 to May 16 there are trips to Karadimalai, Kodaikanal, Wayanad and Nagarhole.

The Madras Crocodile Bank MCBT is putting together two-day and overnight camps for children above ten years. The camp will begin as soon as 15 participants sign in. Participation is open on a first come first serve basis.
Besides learning all about crocodiles, turtles, tortoises and non-venomous snakes through interactive sessions conducted by experts of the Croc Bank, participants can become a Herp Handler with lessons on handling the resident reptiles with expert handlers of the Croc bank. Don't worry about the distance since all the participants will be picked up from Thiruvanmiyur on camp day. The fee, includes food and accommodation, is Rs.1200.

Those whom the sea calls out to, can check the strength of their calling at the Tamil Nadu Sailing Association.
This clubhouse conducts sailing activities and coaching sessions for children and adults. It also offers membership. Contact Mr. Anthony at 2538 2253 for details.
