STAR PERFORMER: Many fans.
Children at the State Child Welfare Council in Vazhuthacad had an enthralling time last week when film and television artiste, Joby, called on them as a part of the summer camp organised by the council. All of three-and-a-half feet in height, the actor received an ecstatic reception from the kids who jostled around him for autographs. He struggled to maintain his balance obliging their requests. Some even snuggled up to him and measure the difference in height.
Ardent performer
An employee with the Kerala State Financial Enterprises Limited, Joby has performed in over 3,000 stages across the State right from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod. He has the gift of the gab. "I always try to look at the positive side of things. This helps me interact with the audience irrespective of whether they are three or 80 years old," said Joby. Making children laugh is not an easy task. "They will laugh only if they have a reason. They cannot act or pretend to enjoy like adults," he says.
More than 150 children from various city schools took part in the session that lasted for nearly half-an-hour.
