A personality development programme for children titled `Sunrise Excellence07' was conducted at Sunrise Hospital, Kakkanad, Kochi, . Students studying in classes V to XII were included in the three-day programme held recently. The Department of Psychology, Sunrise Hospital, Kerala Manassthra Parishad (KMP) were joint organizers. "Self-confidence, esteem, and leadership qualities have not been nurtured among the students. The programme was aimed at inculcating these qualities ," says Dr. Hafeez Rehman Padiyath, Chairman, Sunrise hospital and a faculty of the workshop.
Important aspects
"Our students do not have the courage, confidence or chance to display them. This workshop will instil confidence in them," asserts Dr. R. Padmakumar, Medical Director, Sunrise hospital. A session for parents titled `Effective parenting was also held.' The three-day workshop will continue during the summer vacation with new batches.
