AMAZING COINCIDENCE: Kryptonite and Jadarite.
Kryptonite now moves from fiction to real life. Geologists have discovered a mineral in Serbia that is composed of the same chemicals as the one that deprives Superman of his powers. There's only one difference though: the fictional Kryptonite is said to be a green crystal; its Earthly counterpart, to be called Jadarite, is white and powdery with no fluorine and is certainly not radioactive. Chris Stanley, a mineralogist at London's Natural History Museum, discovered that the chemical formula (sodium lithium boron silicate hydroxide) for the two were the same.
