The Pydah Kaushik Memorial Charitable Trust is organising a free summer camp for students of Stds. X to XII from May 1 to 12, in memory of Pydah Rosiah Kaushik, an engineering student who passed away at a young age five years ago.
"This camp is unique and different from the summer camps conducted by schools and organisations in sports or fine arts. Probably this is first of its kind as we want to create an awareness among the young students about environment, heritage of AP and India, the of Telugu language, its rich history, about Telugu festivals and music and traditions of AP. correlating religious customs, philosophy and science, the way to manage stress, creating self confidence, and others." said managing trustee of the trust Pydah Krishna Prasad.
The resource persons include Prof. A. Prasanna Kumar, Meegada Ramalinga Swamy, Markandeya Sarma, Veda Bhaskar, K.V. Rao, Ramavarapu Sarat Babu, M.R.K. Naidu, P. Nirmala, T. Naga Prasad and a team of CTC led by Prasad.
Two pairs of white uniforms were supplied to the trainees. The classes are being conducted at the Pydah College from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The trainees will be taken on short tours to a few important places during the camp. Cash awards will be awarded to the top three trainees.
Mr. Krishna Prasad said the camp would be held every year and would begin on April 25 from next year.
He was also planning to conduct a residential camp for degree college students in future.
