Beauty of Fairy Pitta

KABITA ROY

The beauty and grace of the Fairy Pitta bird has well been captured on a new set of four Taiwanese stamps. The set was released in September 2006. Fairy Pitta is popularly known in Chinese as the “eight-colour bird” for its eye-catching feathers of eight different colours — black, white, yellow, red, blue, dark green, chestnut and bright blue.
