The Ramakrishna Public School

The Ramakrishna Public School in the city celebrated Doctor’s Day last week to create medical and health awareness among the students and to provide them knowledge on first aid.

Noted doctor Kutikuppala Surya Rao participated and stressed on the need for practising healthy habits by the children for their better future. School director A. Siva Ramakrishna Reddy recalled the services of renowned medical professional and former Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy ,whose birthday on July 1 is celebrated as the Doctor’s Day in the country. Incidentally Dr. B.C. Roy, who sacrificed his entire life for the health of the poor and the downtrodden, died on his birthday in 1962 at the age of 80.
