Ice cream ship

Fifteen million ice-cream sticks went into the making of the 50-foot Thor, a Viking ship that sailed proudly across the IJsselmeer Lake in the Netherlands. Its builder, American stuntman Robert McDonald, was helped by his son and 5000 children. He had made an appeal by radio asking children to send him their ice-cream sticks. "Kids from all over the world started mailing them to me. I got enough sticks to build three of those ships," he said. He hopes to auction the ship l ater and donate the proceeds to charity. His next stunt is to cross the Atlantic and he is looking for funds and a crew that is willing to follow the ancient Viking route to America through Iceland and Greenland.
