Romance in Italy

Ranchy Italian affair: Zorse, at Schloss Holte Stukenbrock.

Is it a zebra? No. Is it a horse? No. Well then… Eclyse is a zorse, the offspring of a zebra and a horse. And no, scientists didn’t have any hand in its creation. Eclipse the horse was holidaying on an Italian ranch where she met Ulysses the zebra. Back home in Germany, Eclipse’s keepers were in for a shock when Eclyse arrived. Most zebra-horse crossbreds have stripes across the body but in Eclyse the stripes are confined to the face and the rear while th e body remains white. The one-year-old zorse is a big hit with visitors to Schloss Holte Stukenbrock’s safari.
