Chapel paintings

VIKAS S. KHATRI

The Department of Posts issued a postage stamp on the paintings of St. Aloysius College Chapel, Mangalore. The stamp depicts one of the panels from the central ceiling of the Chapel, showing the early life of Aloysius Gonzaga. The stamp was released on January 12, 2001 as it was on this day in 1880 that the St. Aloysius College was inaugurated.

The paintings in this chapel were done by Antonio Moscheni, a Jesuit from Italy.
