My expectations...
With the Red Letter day round the corner, I am ten feet tall with patriotism. The first thing I am counting on is India’s space mission which will bloom with “Chandrayan” taking off in the near future. An Olympic hockey gold in 2010 or the cricket world cup in 2011. Indian trade would enjoy an all time high. The BPL population reduced to a great extent and children would learn that “India is a developed country”. India should become a permanen
t member in the United Nations.

I dream of a developed India without poverty, hunger, unemployment and terrorism. I wish that the politics of our country would be corruption free.
There should be no discrimination on the basis of caste, gender or colour.
A great stride forward in technological fields with careful management of resources.
There will be remarkable improvement in our country’s infrastructure.

If India should become a developed nation in the next decade, then we will be able to eradicate poverty and unemployment. We will be able to bring down pollution. We can bring tremendous changes in the education, transportation and communication sectors.

Poverty, unemployment and hunger would be removed and all citizens would endeavour to gainfully serve the country. For this all citizens should be educated. The government should be free of corruption and oriended towards progress oriented. Most importantly, our rich tradition, heritage, culture and value-system should be upheld and made the foundation of our society.

There will not be any wars and the expenditure incurred on armies and armament will be saved and utilised for the welfare of the people. Poverty will be eradicated. Everyone will get a job best suited to his or her aptitude. Education will be free for all. There will be no distinctions based on caste, creed, colour or status. Pollution will gradually become a thing of the past.

Every kid can enjoy their childhood, education and health. All citizens have shelter and employment. Where no crimes occur and no accidents take place .
I would like to see deprived children get access to the facilities that I get and the same opportunities that I have. I would like to see the government rid of all corruption and government funds should be used for the purpose they are meant for.
All the citizens would be able to exercise their franchise with no threat and fairly elect their leaders. The elected leader would stand by their oath and lead the government in a better way than ever before resulting in all round improvement in society and economy. Justice and honesty in work, liberty for women, and equality for all would prevail.

Do I like my country? “Yes…but I would like it to be cleaner and greener!” Polluting the air, water and environment must be treated as a crime. More plants and trees should be planted. Historical places and tourist spots should be maintained well, to attract tourists.
I feel very bad when I see people begging for food and money. The only way to stop this is to provide them with simple jobs.
