Incised hieroglyphic script: From the tomb of Menekhibnekau.

A newly discovered burial shaft wall covered in incised hieroglyphic script from the tomb of Menekhibnekau, a hereditary noble of the 26th dynasty, in Abu Sir southwest of the Egyptian capital Cairo, was recently discovered.

The burial shaft was found by chance by the Egyptian-Czech mission while carrying out routine excavation and restoration work at the tomb of Menekhibnekau. The inner sides of the chamber and the ceiling were almost completely covered with texts and images that included passages from the Book of the Dead.
