Special stamps

On October 1, 1976, the erstwhile Post and Telegraph department issued a special stamp on voluntary blood donation. October 1 is observed as Blood Donation Day.

The postal administration of Dahomey (now Benin) in West Africa issued a three-franc triangular stamp featuring a postman riding a bicycle with a bag of letters for delivery.
