Lecole Chempaka, Silver Oaks, Edavacode

The students and teachers of Lecole Chempaka, Silver Oaks, Edavacode, celebrated Independence Day by hoisting the national flag and rendering patriotic songs. Daphne Gomez, principal, urged the students to use their collective consciousness to make their dreams for an inclusive India come true. Posters on the country created by the students were displayed on the exhibition wall of the school. Ivy John, Vice Principal, Junior School, reminded the students that the country’s greatest assets are its natural resources and manpower.Meena Nair, vice-principal, senior school, highlighted India’s achievements and named Indians who are famous the world over. The performances by the students including yoga and ball dancing added to the celebratory mood of the occasion. Rahul Suresh, head boy, proposed the vote of thanks.
