Force of fun: At the show
Breaking from the monotonous classroom lessons, students of primary classes in Mahita Public School stepped into the enchanting world of their favourite television channel – Jetix.

The very talk of “Power Rangers Mystic Force” spells magic for the youngsters who do not mind fighting a fierce battle almost every day with family members at home to switch over to the channel and stay tuned until the awe-inspiring Rangers have done their job of finishing the evil forces and gone their way, promising to come back the same time the next day.
A couple of T.V sets telecasting the Rangers’ episodes and huge posters of the characters in Jetix adorned the school auditorium that became the destination of fun-filled activities like a lively interaction and a series of games. The Jetix Action Academy had this as part of its annual school contact programme.
Though most children watch the channel every day in the evening without fail, catching the action and adventure with friends is a different experience. Realising that a vast population of children were viewing programmes meant for adults, the Walt Disney Company designed children-specific action-thrillers and embarked on a drive to dismantle the language barriers by providing entertainment in different languages.
“We are happy that the children are watching appropriate channels besides sending a strong message that it is always the victory of good over evil, through the Power Rangers,” says K. Seshasaye, Head, Corporate Communication for Walt Disney Company (India) Private Limited, Mumbai.
