Kikani Higher Secondary School

Coimbatore District Sports and Games Welfare Association and Rotary Club of Coimbatore recently celebrated the second annual Youth Development Programme, at Kikani Higher Secondary School. As part of the programme, a district-level band music competition was held for schools. Nearly 600 students from 20 schools participated.

Seven best schools were presented with a rolling trophy and certificates, and the first five were also given cash prizes. The schools that bagged the prizes were: Avila Convent M.H.S. School, Velandipalayam (first), St. Joseph’s M.H.S. School, Ondipudur (second), Kikani M.H.S. School, RS Puram (third), Bishop Francis MHSS, Asokapuram (fourth), SRK Vidhyalaya, Periyanaickenpalayam (fifth), Presentation Convent Girls H.S. School (sixth), and CMS H.S. School, Ganapathy (seventh).

The chief guest of the programme, Coimbatore District Collector Neeraj Mittal, gave away the prizes to the winners.
