Teacher for a day: Senior students act as mentors

They taught us the first letters of the alphabet. While some are remembered for their astute sternness, there were others who taught us the valuable lessons of life that helped us climb the ladder of success. It was a day to remember all the beloved teachers and express gratitude for their priceless service. Students came together to celebrate Teacher’s Day in various schools and colleges. There was a role reversal of some sorts as the students took up the task of pl aying the host throughout the day. The mood was set a day in advance as students decorated classrooms with balloons, flowers and posters. Rangolis were made in front of the classrooms to greet the teachers.

Gifts and gratitude

Dressed in traditional attires, they welcomed the teachers with flowers and garlands. Draped in colourful sarees, the senior students donned the roles of teachers and took classes for the junior section. The students gave flowers, gifts and greeting cards to their beloved teachers and also organised cultural programmes. It was a nostalgic moment for many ex-students who gathered at the schools to meet their teachers.
