Kendriya Vidyalaya, Narimedu

The Samskrutha Bharathi conducted story telling, conversations and sloka recitation competitions in Sanskrit at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Narimedu, in Madurai recently.

Inaugurating the competitions, the Principal, V. Rajagopal, motivated the students to learn and speak Sanskrit whenever and wherever possible. Teachers V. Kalyanaraman and Manikandan organised the competitions. Volunteers of Samskrutha Bharathi were t he judges for the competitions.

On the day of the prize distribution, students presented a colourful drama in Sanskrit. The activity-oriented teaching of Sanskrit in Kendriya Vidyalaya would enable children to learn the language easily and effectively, said Kalyanaraman, Sanskrit teacher.
