The Directorate of Information and Public Relations conducted elocution, essay writing and painting competitions for school students in connection with the birth centenary celebrations of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, recently. The winners are:

Elocution: 1. P. Yugashalini (St. Philomina’s Girls HSS), 2. S. Vasuki (Seva Sangam Girls HSS), 3. S. Manojkumar (Government Boys HSS, Manachanallur).

Essay writing: 1.P. Padmambika (Holy Cross Girls HSS), 2. R. Latha (Government Girls HSS, Manachanallur) and 3. V. Tamil Prabakaran (St. Peter’s HSS, Veerakalur, Lalgudi).

Painting: 1. A. Sukanya (Amala Girls HSS, Musiri), 2. J. Emili Saranya (Holy Cross Girls HSS) and 3. T. Moorthy (Government Boys HSS, Manachanallur).

The State Transport Minister, K. N. Nehru and Tiruchi District Collector Ashish Vachhani were present.
