Velammal Matriculation School, Viraganoor


Velammal Matriculation School, Viraganoor, near Madurai, emerged winners at the National Children Science Congress Science Exhibition held recently. As many as 50 major schools from Madurai district participated. Among the 60 different projects displayed, the project by Std. IX students, comprising C. Gowtham Gopal, G. Ashok Kumar, D.S. Mukilan, P. Sundaraja Moorthy, and Vasanth Asirvatham, on Bio Soap (an eco friendly toilet soap) was selected for the State science conference to held in Chennai. The Principal, B. Chandra Sekaran, lauded the students and the teacher guide P. Maridasan.
