A total of ten Scouts of Montfort Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Manjampatty, near Manapparai in Tiruchi district, won the prestigious Rajapuraskar award. The Scout secretary of Tiruchi district, Kandasamy, gave away the awards to the Scouts and felicitated the students at a function held at the school premises. The Principal, Rev. Bro. Charles Gasper, presided over the function.

The Scout Masters, Sakthivel and Britto, were felicitated for imparting specialised training to the Scouts.
