Army Public School

The Army Public School has got another feather on its cap to be proud of.

Anant Raj Purohit, a class XI student and Anish Rana of class VI, were the cynosure of all eyes at the National Equestrian Championship held at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai.

The 16-year-old Anant topped the charts at the Indian Team Selection Committee with scintillating displays in two show jumping rounds without inviting any penalties. He represented India at the international show jumping held at Bagota in Columbia and brought laurels to the country.

While the 11-year-old Anish with just one drop in round B brought the Indian team ahead of Australia in the competition.

He had won the silver medal at the junior national equestrian championship in Chennai and was the first rider to clear first without any penalty in 10 – 12 years category. He missed the gold medal by three seconds.
