Bhagawat Gita Chanting Competition


An inter school ‘Bhagawat Gita Chanting Competition’ for the students was held at Bhavans Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara recently.

It was conducted under the auspices of ‘Sikshan Bharathi’, the education wing of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. 600-odd students from 13 schools in Kerala participated.

The competition was held under three categories.

Category I had students from standard II-III. Category II had students from standard IV-VI and category III had students from standard VII-IX. Each category consisted of six students. Bhavans News Print Nagar School, Velloor, Kottayam, won over all championship.

Bhavans Adarsha Vidyalaya, Akkanad, came second and Bhavan’s Vidya Bhavan, Poochatti, Thrissur bagged the third prize.

The recitation, sound, pronunciation and keeping to the time were the criteria for the award.
