To bring alive a dream cyclists came from all over to participate in the international race.

The Schools for India second International Cycle Race 2008(ICR) held in Chennai recently was a resounding success. India’s biggest cycle race saw the largest participation of cycling enthusiasts not only from India but also participants from Germany, France and Italy. The total prize money was Rs. 10,00,000.
ICR is a Schools for India initiative to increase awareness about education in rural India.
The participants with cycles and cheer was a sight to savour in the morning.
While some came for the challenge, others came for the cause. For all who participated it was experience to synergise a common dream.
Over 400 cyclists of global repute and participants from across the country, took part in different categories.
The winners in Amateur Men and Amateur Women categories were Bikram Singh (Manipur), Sabu Ganigar (Karnataka), Uttam Nale (Maharshtra); Nillamma Maligwad (Karnataka), V. Rajani (Kerala) and B. Neeta (Andaman & Nicobar)
In the school race the winners were Ponnar.S (Tamil Nadu), Sahil (Chandigarh) and Maruti Honnapanavar, (Karnataka)
