Hundred years of Fleming

MALA ASHOK

This year marks the centenary of British author and scientist, Ian Fleming. He is the creator of the children’s novel Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang, and the movie icon “James Bond, Agent 007”. Britain is honouring his birth centenary and the 50th anniversary of publication of Dr. No (the first James Bond novel to be filmed), by issuing a set of six stamps, each one depicting a cover of one of the James Bond novels.
